Bayn Europe manufactures and sells the sweetened fiber product EUREBA®, which can replace sugar without further reformulation in applications as diverse as ice cream, yogurt, chocolate, confectionery and health products.

The production process developed by Bayn, for which the company has applied for patent protection, guarantees a homogeneous product of very high quality. Further work to improve the process will enable the company to further reduce the cost of production and thus realize lower prices to consumers, making it an even more attractive sugar substitute.

Vinnova's grant of SEK 2 million will not only enable the construction of a pilot-scale reactor, but also strengthen the analysis capacity with, among other things, an electron microscope. This means an increased opportunity to test new formulations and finished products more quickly.
